Step by Step is a private ECS operator that follows Alberta Education curriculum and standards. Enrolment consists primarily of children receiving Program Unit Funding (PUF) due to significant and documented delays in their development and who require additional support beyond that offered in a standard preschool or kindergarten classroom.
Our ECS program offers play-based therapeutic learning groups at our centre designed to increase independence and foster positive behaviours. Classes are led by certified teachers alongside a team of therapists, behaviour strategists and developmental aides to create an environment that supports each child’s individual needs. We service children with a wide range of diagnoses including but not limited to, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, Rett syndrome, global developmental delay and other communication delays. Intentional, goal-oriented programming is delivered to children with a high ratio of adult support which has been instrumental in helping children achieve milestones not previously thought possible.
