Parkland School is a DSEIS (Designated Special Education Independent School), accredited by Alberta Education. The school operates in such a way to meet the educational needs of children and young adults with severe cognitive and physical disabilities while offering programming from the Alberta Education Programs of Study. These children are typically referred to us by public school jurisdictions, due to their very unique and specialized care and learning needs. Our purpose is to provide individualized programming which will enable each student to maximize his/her potential. We provide a full range of academic, sensory, pre-vocational, recreational and social skills areas which are needed for successful and productive participation in community life. In order for a student to attend our school, they must meet strict requirements, involving a severe/profound diagnosis from certified sources.
