LCDS is an independent, non-profit early childhood services program, and a parent cooperative. As a parent cooperative, parents play a crucial role in the program’s operations and sustainability through volunteering in the classroom, for various committees and the Board of Directors.
LCDS offers a unique early learning experience by combining preschool and kindergarten in a single classroom. Our program embraces a “learning through play” and STEAM philosophy, providing a language-rich and engaging environment focused on high-quality education, speech & language and kindergarten readiness. Children aged 3 to 5 participate in a daily structured routine that balances guided learning activities with free play. The curriculum is designed to foster the age-appropriate development of language, social skills, emotional growth, cultural understanding, physical abilities, problem solving and intellectual curiosity. Our dedicated teaching staff introduces kindergarten concepts and prepares children for future educational success, building a solid foundation for their academic journey.
