Jim Jiwani Autism Academy is a specialized, family-centred school committed to providing individualized, meaningful and high-quality education for students with autism. Central to our approach is a collaborative Circle of Care, bringing together specialized teachers, behavior clinicians, families and other multidisciplinary professionals who work collectively to support each student’s academic, social, emotional and developmental growth. Our programming is guided by the SCERTS® Model — Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support, and recognizes that students learn best when they are supported to communicate meaningfully, regulate their emotions, build relationships and actively engage in learning. Families are valued as essential partners in every child’s educational journey, enabling us to create consistency and continuity across school, home and community environments. Through individualized programming, evidence-informed practice and a strengths-based approach, we create a safe, responsive and engaging learning environment where every student is supported to develop independence, confidence, belonging and the skills needed to reach their fullest potential.
